Prestige Cup in La Rochelle, France - June 5, 2009
Thank you to Medalist and Lee Peppard for selecting and sending myself, John Husman, Scotty Burnnett and Robert Heckman to represent Team USA.
On the Saturday, John and myself played in the International doubles event where we made it to the semis but lost to the Singapore Team – Paul Lim and James Quek. If we would have won this round, it would have been an all USA finals – unlucky! Singapore Team ended up winning this event but it was a very close finals in the 7 leg.
On Sunday was the International 4 Man Team event where we all played brilliantly throughout the day. In the finals we were to play Team France who obviously had the crowd behind them. France was on their way to win with a 3-0 lead, however, we came back and won it!! The crowd was not too happy cause they thought it was going to be won by their Team France. However, Team USA was :) very happy with the win!! We celebrated!
The Prestige Cup was Monday with our same team but unfortunately we lost in the finals – 4-1. Congrats to Team Spain again!
I had a great time and look forward to meeting everyone again soon.
Off now to practice for Pacmania and the Las Vegas Desert Classic tournaments.
